Massage
Melt away tension and stress!

Massage treatments are based on Swedish Massage and are custom designed to meet the particular needs and preferences of each client. Your massage can be light for relaxation and stress relief, or deep, working specific muscles that are tired, overworked, in spasm or injured. Most often, sessions will be a combination of techniques. In addition, various other modalities and bodywork approaches may be incorporated as part of the session.

Melt away tension and stress, work out aches and pains, rejuvenate tired, overworked muscles, stimulate your systems and balance your body. Massage enhances the function of the body's circulatory, lymphatic, muscular and nervous systems. Enjoy a massage with scented oil or perfume-free lotion. Please tell us when you book your massage whether you would like a massage primarily for relaxation, or a more concentrated massage on areas where you may be experiencing muscle stress or tension.

Massage Tips:

BEFORE

Avoid eating for at least one hour before massage. Avoid sugar, caffeine, and any other stimulants. Shower or bathe. If available, use some form of heat to relax muscles (jacuzzi, sauna, steam). Tell your massage therapist what is going on in your body and any information that might be valuable (tension, aches, injuries, surgeries, exercise routines).

DURING
Give feedback on your massage. Breathe deeply and evenly. Focus internally on what your therapist is working on. You may have a tendency to hold your breath when an area of discomfort or tenderness is massaged. This is when it is most important to keep breathing, to help release tension in the area. AFTER Drink extra water for the next 24 hours to flush toxins released by massage.

RELAX!
You will be defeating the purpose of the massage if you immediately enter into a stressful environment or physically exert yourself. Take time to allow your body to reap the full benefits of the massage. We encourage you to make a reservation in advance to ensure that you are able to obtain a massage at the time of your choice. As you make your cabin reservation, please indicate your desire to receive a massage for yourself and/or others in your group. Please note that there is a non-refundable deposit required for this service.
